Boarding Guidelines
- Food: We can provide Nutrisource Chicken & Rice dry food, or you may bring food from home in a sealable container or zip lock bags. We have a fridge and microwave to accommodate most dietary needs. We do not allow any type of rawhide while boarding.
- Medications: please make sure everything is labeled with the time, dosage, and what to administer your meds in. We do not administer insulin.
- Vaccines: No pet will be allowed to board without being vaccinated for Rabies, Kennel Cough & Distemper

- The Kennel Cough vaccine must be given 7 to 10 days before boarding if the vaccine has expired or the dog has never had the vaccine. We will not board any dog under the seven-day mark for the kennel cough vaccine.
- Bedding: Any bedding provided must be able to be washed if necessary.
- Families with multiple dogs: When staying together, dogs must be 30 lbs or under and must be able to eat next to each other without fighting or resource guarding. Must not have any aggression towards each other at all.

SUNDAY: 8AM-11 AM & 6 PM - 8 PM
Boarding
Boarding charges will begin on the day of drop off regardless of time. Check-out time is 11:00 am, or you will be charged for the last day.
1 Dog in 1 Run: $50.00 per day
2 Dogs in 1 Run: $68.00 per day
2 Dogs in 2 Runs: $88.00 per day
3 Dogs in 1 Run: Please call us at 585-225-3838, restrictions will apply.
3 Dogs in 3 Runs: $126.00 per day
PLAYTIMES
1 DOG: $2.50 for 15 mins / $5.00 for 1/2 hour
2DOGS: $4.00 for 15 mins / $8.00 for 1/2 hour
3 DOGS: $6.00 for 15mins / $12.00 for 1/2 hour
Emergency Policy
- We are requiring all boarding clients to leave owner contact and a LOCAL contact person in case of emergency who would be able to pick up your dog if need be. Example: Stress-related issues, sickness, injury, including any veterinary issues.
- The owner will be contacted 1st, then your veterinarian, and your local contact person.
- If no one is available to take your dog to the vet in case of an emergency and a Lakewind staff member must transport your dog to a vet, the charge is 50.00 per hour.
- Due to the high demand on veterinarians and urgent care facilities, and with the local emergency clinic not opening until 7:00 PM on weekdays, we kindly request that a local contact be available to pick up your dog if necessary.

We recommend having a plan in place with your vet and a local contact in case of an unforeseen emergency.
Policy for Dog Aggression/Fence Aggression During Boarding
- We do accept dogs with anxiety, aggression, or "stranger danger" for boarding; however, they must be able to use the doggie door independently. If your dog exhibits behaviors such as pulling at fencing, attempting to jump excessively high, or any actions that could result in self-injury, we will contact you immediately to arrange for the dog to be picked up as soon as possible.
- For the safety of all dogs, any dog displaying aggression or fence aggression will require an empty run to be left between them and their neighbors. In such cases, the full boarding rate will apply.
- This policy applies at all times, including during holidays or periods when the kennel is fully booked. If the kennel is not fully booked, standard rates will apply.
